What I'm Up To Now

This page is a quick snapshot of what's going on in my life right now - as if I was telling an old friend what's changed since we last spoke. Credits for the cool idea can be found right here.

Life

• Living in Thailand for a few months. Mainly training Muay Thai and exploring the country. Been working hard at the gym and countering that work with all the delicious food they have in this country.

Projects

• I'm currently building out a website for what will be my little studio. I've got a number of projects and I think it'll be cool to unify them under a company name. I've picked the somewhat dark name Dead Orchard Studios, named after a submission in Brazillian Jiu-jitsu. It's almost done but I'm still polishing it.
• I've been making steady progress on my TCG website since getting to Thailand. I'm working on getting the MVP finished and released. Building on everything I've learned from OldSchool.tools I think this website has a way larger potential audience and I'm excited to launch it in the new few months.
• Running my first real successful project, OldSchool.tools, which will forever get my love and attention as long as people continue to use it. It takes a lot of time to maintain but this project taught me it was possible to work hard on something and have it pay off.

Work

• Currently working on wrapping up a big rollout of sales taxes for all purchases to our website.
• Recently finished rewriting the foundation of our whole website. The current site is a legacy Cake v2 project and I rewrote that foundation onto Laravel in my spare time. We're in the process of starting to roll that system out and later this year the majority of the business will be transitioned to the new system I built.
